Q: Are there any other BSA units chartered with Hilliard United Methodist Church?

A: Yes! The units associated with our Hilliard United Methodist Church charter are; Pack 148, Troop 148 (Boys), Troop 148 (Girls), and Crew 148 (Coed High Adventure).


Q: When and where does the Pack and Dens meet?

A: Most meetings will be held at Warehouse 839 @ Hilliard United Methodist Church (3691 Main St, Hilliard, OH 43026). Some Pack and Den meetings might be held at a different location to help complete adventures, hikes, camping, and other fun activities. All location information will be in all events on Scoutbook.com.


Q: What days do the Dens and Pack meet?

A: First and third Tuesday of every month is a den meeting. The second Tuesday of every month is a Pack meeting. These meeting are held typically September - May.


Q: What are Dens?

A: Each Den is made up of the same grade Scouts. This allows for the leaders to lead them through adventures for each rank that are age appropriate.

Q: What is the difference between a Den and a Pack meeting?

A: Dens are smaller groups of the similar age group of Scouts. Pack meeting will be all the Dens with their parents. Pack meetings supply important information to parents and allow leaders to award Scouts with completed adventure pins or belt loops and rank advancement.


Q: How much does it cost for me to join Pack 148?

A: Registration each year is $72. This will cover your yearly membership & Insurance. There is an activities fee for the Scouts. The activity fee is $160. The Pack has a yearly popcorn sale that can help each Scout to pay for these dues. If your Scout sells $500 worth of popcorn, they will be able to pay for activity fee for one year.


Q: What type of activities do the Pack and Dens do?

A: We are a very active Pack and we want our Scouts to enjoy every moment of their Scouting adventure. Some of the activities we perform are fall camp out, hikes, pinewood derby, video game camp in, snow tubing @ Mad River Mountain, winter camp out, spring camp out, and graduation rocket launch.
